Productions are based on awareness-development themes, using music, puppetry and comedy with lots of audience involvement to tackle areas as diverse as energy saving, stranger danger, road safety and even bullying.
The show nurtures imaginings and provokes ideas far beyond the immediate joy of a performance, by addressing issues of social relevance in a highly accessible way. Children who look dis-interested when read or told stories move in closer and pay more attention once puppets take over the program.
Based in Bristol, The Funky Puppet Theatre Co is available to perform at Primary Schools, in Theatres or at special events in - Avon, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon & Dorset.
An audience of 20 to 80 is preferred, but larger groups can be accommodated. Sometimes two performances are needed for much larger audiences.
